来自瑞典的独立摇滚乐团～

1997年，瑞典的一个名叫Umea的小地方，6个年轻人非常想组一支乐队，他们以前是一起嬉戏的玩伴，彼此非常了解。但他们也不像许多其他组乐队的年轻人那样抱着出人头地的愿望，只是想用一种简单的方式创造他们想要的音乐，单纯地快乐。

于是，The Perishers就这样诞生了。起先，乐队从一个地下的乐器租借店（隔壁紧挨着很多当地的hard-core乐队），租借乐器进行排练。过了一段时间之后，在他们的家乡，The Perishers进行了一些现场表演并且录制了几张DEMO。但在他们隔壁邻居嘈杂的噪音的阴影下，乐队平缓地发展，渐渐形成了他们自己的声音。

2001年上半年，The Perishers与一家与MNW/Nons（唱片公司）进行业务往来的唱片公司签约, Nons也是他们后来签约的厂牌。然而，这并非是一个很轻易的决定。因为此时的乐队成员自从两年前已减至4人，而且各自居住在不同的城市，也没有很多的演出，而且很长一段时间都没有一起排练。但令人庆幸的是，这一年的后半年，The Perishers的每个成员都找回了自己的感觉，并且录制了他们的第一张专辑《From Nothing To One》（发行于2002年1月）。这张专辑在紧凑的日程安排下，于Second Home（估计是Umea当地的一个唱片公司）录制完成，发行后，好评不断，并且为乐队创造了一些巡回演出的机会，行程包括瑞典，挪威，荷兰以及台湾。

Sweden, and he'll gladly share this DIY-or-die story (or some other basement show fiasco) with a smile and a snicker. Which is quite amusing and a little confusing when you consider Kl?t's current gig: singing sweetly and subtly amid the moonlit, melancholic indie pop of The Perishers.
